1. What does global citizenship mean to you?
For me it means to be connected to everything which happens in the world, to youth and to people in general, to beable to respect other cultures, other religions. People at least have a little understanding of the differences. We should not be too judgemental, but open hearted. And if I am in their space I should respect their lifestyle.
2. In what ways are you a global citizen?
Well, I lived abroad, where it was such a diff erent culture, itwas a dramatic change. I met a lot of diff erent people there, I am still connected with them. They tell me about their personal life, we even interact. Like my friend in America who wants to help our organisation, raise money among her friends to conduct a project. I think they respect my culture, and I respect theirs – that is what a global citizen is. Friends canbe in different parts of the world today. Yesterday I talked to my friend for two hours, it was midnight here and 8:30 a.m. there. She is sick and we talked for two hours.
